Summary:	Reproduction of an original pastel portrait of Máirtín Ó Cadhain, (1906-1970), Irish language writer by the artist Sean O'Sullivan R.H.A, signed and dated November 1951 by the artist in the original artwork which was reproduced for the cover of a 1953 calendar entitled 'Dáréag Scríbhneoirí Gaeilge' 1953, issued by Sáirséal agus Dill. Head and shoulders, facing front, wearing glasses and tie. Sáirséal agus Dill was founded in 1945 by Seán Sairséal Ó hÉigeartaigh [son of P.S. O'Hegarty] and his wife Bríd Ní Mhaoileoin - they published Máirtín Ó Cadhain’s 'Cré na Cille' in 1949.
