Summary:Pastel portrait by an unknown hand of William George Fay, actor, theatre producer and the co-founder in 1902 with his brother Frank Fay of 'W. G. Fay's Irish National Dramatic Company', with image of another man on verso of sheet. In 1903 they and most of the actors from the Irish National Dramatic Company went on to form the Irish National Theatre Society, a precursor to Dublin's Abbey Theatre. (In 1905 W.B. Yeats, Lady Gregory and J.M. Synge decided to turn the theatre into a limited liability company, the National Theatre Society Ltd.).
