This print published at a location near the Surrey Theatre, where Joseph Burke was then performing in 1827 as Doctor O'Toole in 'The Irish Tutor'. "Bombastes Furioso", A Burlesque Tragic Opera, was written in 1810 by William Barnes Rhodes. It was based in part on 'Orlando Furioso', an Italian epic poem by Ludovico Ariosto (1474-1533). |
