This drawing was present inside a copy of the Abbey Theatre programme for the Abbey Theatre Festival of Irish Drama, August 6th-20th, 1938. The first production of W. B. Yeats' drama 'Purgatory', a play in one act was performed on Wednesday August 10, 1938, the date present on this drawing.
