Description: Letters, sent to the journalist, lawyer and politician Wlliam E. Robinson of New York from various correspondents, concerning political matters, notably his promotion of Irish nationalism and his career in Congress between the years 1867-9 and 1881-5. Included are letters from John Pope Hodnet of the United Labor League of America, political prisoner Henry O'Mahony and plantation owner John Robinson, of Goldboro, North Carolina, who writes to in the period following the American Civil War.
