This letterpress broadside celebrates the inaugural Stratis Haviaras Lecture delivered by Seamus Heaney on April 6, 2000. Printed by Katherine McCanless at the Bow & Arrow Press in an edition of one hundred fifty copies, twenty-six of which are lettered A-Z - this copy marked 'Y'. Signed on sheet by both of the authors Seamus Heaney and Stratis Haviaras. The Stratis Haviaras Lecture, held annually by the Harvard English Department, honours Stratis Haviaras, curator of the Poetry and Farnsworth Rooms, Harvard College Library, who retired in 2000 after 32 years of service.
