Reference is made to 'conditions in Waterford' (22 Jul. 1924), arrangements for a political meeting or function in which Downey was assisting (1925) and De Valera's intentions to 'go ''full steam ahead'' with our own programme' (3 June 1926). Included are letters written on behalf of De Valera by his secretary Kathleen O'Connell.
