Description: Writing to newspaper editor and author Edmund Downey, Ó Ceallaigh refers to political matters, notably a recent and successful function that was 'like the old days of 1918-1921' (23 Jul. 1924), attacks on the offices of 'The Waterford News', then edited by Downey, (31 Jul. 1924), the difficulties of contesting a general election 'without a daily paper' (10 Feb. 1927), and Fianna Fáil electoral success in 1933. His letters are written on headed paper of Cumann na Pobhlachta, Sinn Féin, Fianna Fáil and Saorstat Éireann.
