Notes:	Research by our Flickr Commons users established that Glenties has won the National Tidy Towns Competition five times - more than any other town. They won the inaugural 1958 competition, and then again in 1959 and 1960. The general consensus is that this image is from the 1959 ceremony. Some local TDs are on the platform (Neil Blaney and Joe Brennan), alongside some clergymen (William McNeely, Roman Catholic Bishop of Raphoe, and Charles Tyndall, Church of Ireland Bishop of Derry and Raphoe). James Ryan (TD and Minister for Finance) is at the microphone.
