The showband scene in Ireland was at its height in 1969, and bands were popping up all round the place. 'Margo and the Keynotes' were from Donegal, and whereas Margo is still on the road I wonder what happened to the keynotes?
With thanks to Paddywhack56, John A. Coffey, Beachcomber and oaktree_brian_1976 we learned that The Keynotes continued to tour after Margo went on to other things. Several of them were/are still in the biz until relatively recently. Paddywhack56 and Niall McAuley also helped us to the map this to a spot by Cruit Island in the Rosses area of County Donegal...

Looks like they couldn't behave themselves in the car so Dad dumped them by the side of the road to teach them a lesson.

The Keynotes soldiered on for some years after Margo left to form her own band, The Country Folk but with very limited success. Keynotes' lead singer after Margo was one Benny (or Ben E) Quinn from Portnoo, I believe. The website irishshowbands.com would likely have more information on them.

I remember the Keynotes playing football inside the marquee at Edgeworthstown carnival in 1968 having set up their gear and being struck by how young Margo was. She would have been 17 then and had already been singing with the Keynotes for some years.

The Band were based in Kincasslagh, Donegal so chances are that the photo was taken in that area

These nearby archive shots show the band beside two concrete bridges, should allow a location to be found:

There are still two bridges, a road and a pedestrian one, in this streetview but the pedestrian one has been replaced since 1969.

Yes, I though that might be it. Margo comes from just up the road. [https://www.flickr.com/photos/gnmcauley]
