| Notes: | The full title of the document is 'Receipts and Expenditures of Funds for Receiving and Entertainment of foreign delegates to the '98 Celebrations:- The said Funds being one half the proceeds of Miss Gonne's Lecture Tour in the United States, November & December 1897 - (N.B. The other half of Proceeds ... was paid over to Mr. James F. Egan, delegate of Amnesty Association, for the purpose of the Amnesty Movement)'. The list gives details of the amounts collected at each of the 21 lecture venues, and the purposes for which the money was spent. The total collected was almost $4,500. The accounts were certified by Craig, Gardiner & Co. From October to December 1897 Maud Gonne toured the US to raise funds for the Amnesty Association and for a Wolfe Tone memorial.
