Wicklow, depicting a scene from 15 February 1799 of Michael Dwyer fighting his way out of a burning cottage at Dernamuck [also known as Derrynamuck] in the Glen of Imall, County Wicklow, surrounded by Highland soldiers. Dwyer targeted loyalists and yeomen, attacking small parties of the military in the Wicklow Mountains from 1798 to 1803. |
