Summary: | Newsclipping [from unknown journal] featuring sketches of those present at the trial of the Invincibles, for the murders of Lord Frederick Cavendish (Chief Secretary) and Thomas Burke (under-secretary) in the Phoenix Park, Dublin, 6 May 1882. Each person is numbered and there is a key l.c. to identify the person. From top left (clockwise): 1. The Clerk reading out the Phoenix Park charge. 2. Michael Fagan 3. Thomas McCaffrey, the last man arrested for the Phoenix Park Murders, 4. Patrick Delaney under sentence for the attempt on Judge Lawson. 5. Fitzharris - known as "Skin-the-Goat". 6. Cahill, a Farmer, identifying McCaffrey as one of the men connected with the Park Murders. 7. Brady and Kelly take things easy. |
