Summary: | Correspondence relating to Montgomery’s spiral bound Xeroxes which he named ‘Programme, Music…?’. The Xeroxes were of five pieces of his poetry performed at the Peacock Theatre in 1972. Correspondents include the Irish press, Gerald Davis, Terence de Vere White of 'The Irish Times', Ronan Farren of Independent newspapers and Brian Barfield, Senior Producer of Arts Programmes at the B.B.C. Also includes letters to and from Eric Sweeney regarding the use of his music for his booklet ‘Programme, Music…?’. The music score was to accompany Montgomery’s poem "It’s Warmer Down Below". Copies of the music sheets/scores, a ‘schedule of published verse’, as well as a loose Xerox of the poems and a list of newspapers Niall Montgomery sent ‘Programme Music’ to are also included. |
