Notes:The authorship of this volume is very difficult to ascertain. Some say that Henrietta Skelton was the author. She did write a Grace Morton but the earliest edition is from 1873 and a Canadian edition. She appears to have been Canadian. Based on the dates, one would ascribe the authorship to someone else, most likely Mary Meaney, one of the authors published by Peter Cunningham. To confuse matters even more, there is a citation in OCLC which lists a book by Henrietta Skelton published by Cunningham in 1867. Then we have the Christian Reid mudddying the waters. Christian Reid (the pen name of Frances Christine Fisher Tiernan) is also identified as the author of Grace Morton, also published by Cunningham in 1888. If I had to guess, the confusion probably arises from the anonymous authorships further compounded by bibliographers copying errors without checking the original copies or records. The Reid ascription could even be a publisher's attempt to make more sales on a title that had run its course.
