Notes: | Research by our Flickr Commons users established that the Warwick Hotel is no longer standing. It was demolished in August 2019, and a retirement home was planned for the site. For decades before its closure in 2010, it was a landmark Galway venue for high-profile music acts. When Monkey Morgan took this photograph in July 1954, the smaller hotel to the left of the Warwick was known as the Somerset Hotel, run by Bridey Hussey. It was renamed the Palm Court Hotel around 1970, became the Lenaboy Arms around 1975, and finally The Oasis nightclub.
