The two hundred recipes are written in several hands and include recipes for fruit and nut preserves, soups, breads, pickles, fruit wines, cakes, custards, puddings, 'oyster loaves', 'calves feet jelly', 'bogberry tort', 'Whip Sillybubs' and 'almond flummery'. An entry in the volume is dated 1777; others are transcribed in later hands.
