Irish Republican Army Grand National Sweep ticket No. 17460, featuring an image of an young boy holding with his right hand a symbolic sword of flames with the word "Victory" encircling it while with his left hand he pulls a chain from the mouth of a lion featured at bottom left of ticket [symbolising England]. At the boy's feet is a scroll with the words "Break The Connection" written on it - the links of the chain create a border around the ticket and featured at right within chain links are images of Theobald Wolfe Tone, Robert Emmett, Padraig Pearse, Terence MacSwiney, Liam Mellowes and [?]. Printed on ticket: "Win £30,000 Grand National Sweep £100 cash prizes & 100 Hospital Sweep Tickets. Draw will take place in 41 Parnell Sq. Dublin at 8 p.m., on Saturday, 23rd March . List of prizes First horse £25 Second horse £15 Third horse £10 [Tickets] £1 each and two hospital sweep tickets to drawers of horses from final acceptances.
