| Notes: | This item is held in the Department of Ephemera. Jonathan Binns is listed under Merchants and Traders Dublin in Watson's Almanack of 1783; his second wife Anne [neé Verney] took over the business at No. 21 Dame St. after her husband's death [see item at NLI call number Ms 8,409 (1)]. Jonathan Binns had twenty four children, many of whom were also iron-mongers - Wilson's Dublin Directory for the year 1801 lists Jonathan's widow [and second wife] Anne as an iron-monger, still based at 21 Dame St.; his son George Binns as an iron-monger based at 27, Dame St. and William Binns as an iron-monger based at 25, Stephen's Green while an Ambrose Binns is listed as an "iron-monger & anchor-smith at 94, Rogerson's-quay".
