Tradecard for Michael Meade builder [by Forster & Co. lithographers, Dublin - listed as trading from Crow Street in 'Thom's Almanac and Official Directory for the Year 1862' as Forster and Co. engravers to Her Majesty's Government offices, embossers, & chromo-lithographers, die sinkers, show label. and frame manuf. and 25 Temple-lane]. Royal coat of arms present on recto of card, surrounded by text which reads: "Michael Meade / Builder / Importer of timber, deals, slates, fire clay & Bridgwater goods. Tiles, sewer pipes, & c. Manufacturer of doors, windows, staircases, skirtings, architraves, shutters, mouldings, &c., &c. 152-162 Gt. Brunswick St. Dublin". Text on verso reads, at top: "Sawing, planting, and moulding mills". Underneath this text is an image of the mills, depicting the employees going about their daily work and the street scene outside of the premises. Underneath this is printed: "Established for the manufacture of joinery by steam machinery".
