Notes: | John Aylward came originally from Waterford, but left Ireland after the Cromwellian troubles and settled first in Malaga, then in St. Malo and finally in London. His trading activities ranged over Spain, Italy, the Low Countries, France and England. In this letter from Woder mention is also made of 'the Jamaica adventure'.
