Description: John Wolfe, writes to his encouraging him to stick with the profession he has entered (24 June 1747) and takes his to task for his company, dress and attitude to his career (6 Sept 1747); Richard Wolfe, writing to his father refers to his wife's ill health, his finances and concerns at having incurred his father's anger (20 Feb. 1750), his having acted 'imprudently' in the past and hopes of winning back his father's good opinion (18 Mar. 1850),

Also included is a letter to John Wolfe from [C. Bucknall] concerning Richard Wolfe's appointment as an Engsign in the Lord's Home Regiment (1750) and a letter to Richard Wolfe from his aunt Catherine Whitby, written from Waterford, in which she refers to her nephew's difficulties with his wife (7 Sept. 1751).
