Summary:Letters and documentation sent to George Wolfe of Forenaughts, Co. Kildare, concerning his official appointments. Included is a letter from George, Duke of Leinster, confirming there is no vacancy for the post of Deputy Lieutenant of Kildare (18 Dec. 1892), a letter from a Mr. Hemphill, concerning the number of Deputy Lieutenants that can be appointed (6 Mar. 1906), from staff at Dublin Castle, notifying him of his appointment as Ranger of the Curragh (29 Mar. 1910), with an attached warrant signed by the Lord Lieut. John Campbell, Earl of Aberdeen, a letter from Lord Walter Fitzgerald of Kilkea Castle, concerning the traditional uniform of the Curragh Ranger (7 Apr. 1910) and from the Deputy Ranger James C. Johnston of Magherameena Castle (1914-15). An annotation on Johnston's letter dated 24 Jan. 1915 refers to his being killed in action.


Also included is a notice, issued to Wolfe from Dublin Castle, concerning his appointment as High Sheriff of Co. Kildare, dated 10 November 1899.
