Summary:Letters to Col. John Wolfe of Forenaughts, Co. Kildare, then county governor, relating to the case of several prisoners detained in Naas Gaol. Includes letters from Richard Griffth, concerning his having obtained evidence against James McCann from an informer and the plight of a prisoner Thomas Crawford whose children have been left destitute (15 Jan. 1804), from Alexander Marsden, of Dublin Castle, concerning the discharge of prisoners from jail (23 Jan. 1804), from prisoners James Keating and Michael Curran, then being held in the Provost of Dublin (24 May 1804) and an extract from a letter from Pat Brophy, concerning his son’s imprisonment, with a transcription of Wolfe’s reply (4 Jul 1804).


Also included are petitions, sent to Wolfe, concerning the prisoners James Keating [1804] and Nicholas Flood (9 Apr. 1804).
