Description: Included are letters from John Cassidy of Monasterevan, concerning reports of disturbances from 'Allen to Carbery', attacks on loyalist properties in Nurney and Castledermot and local yeoman joining the United Irishmen (23 Oct.), Thomas Rawson, concerning United Irish activity in Mageny, Co. Offaly, Kildare yeomen attacking the rebels at Gracefield Wood (10 Oct) and disturbances and robberies in Eagle Hill and Kilcullen (21 Dec.), Samuel Weldon, concerning his anxieties that the United Irishmen from Wicklow may move to Kildare (6 Nov.) and United Irish activity in Offaly (20 Oct.) and Henry Charles Sirr of Dublin Castle, concerning the arrest in Dublin of Robert Gunning of Mullingar (22 Dec.),

Also included are copy letters from Wolfe to Lord Castlereagh, relating to the 'state of the County of Kildare' (13 Nov.), to [Edward] Cooke, concerning his hopes of securing 'speedy' trials for those who participated in the Rebellion in Kildare, and 'taking up' all 'People of influence amongst the United men and ... all yeomen who deserted to the rebels' (26 Dec.).
