Description: Contains letters to Col. John Wolfe of Forenaughts, Co. Kildare from Lord Castlereagh, concerning a request that Wolfe's son John obtain a commission in the Cavalry (19 Dec. 1799), from Sir Edward Baker Littlehales of Dublin Castle (16 May 1800), from Gen. Ralph Dundas concerning the Forenuaghts Cavalry being placed on permanent duty (17 May 1800) and from G. FitzGerald, of Merrion Square, Dublin, concerning the need to put the Corps of Yeomanry on duty and restore peace in Kildare [n.d.].

Included is a related notice, issued by Lord Cornwallis, Lord Lieutenant of Ireland, relating to John Wolfe Jnr being appointed Captain in the Forenaughts Cavalry (4 Jan. 1800).
