Contributors: Stephens, James, 1825-1901
Summary:In the letter dated 7th July 1890 O'Leary discusses a memoir he has in mind to publish and asks Stephens for some dates of events in the past. His intention is to record '...my own connection with Fenianism ...I do not in any sense mean to write a history of Fenianism'. He mentions that he has recently heard from Thomas Clarke Luby, who 'has a notion of doing something of the same kind as I purpose'. O'Leary also briefly refers to the land agitation on the Smith Barry estate in Tipperary.

In the letter dated 28th April 1893, apparently on the same subject, O'Leary says he will call on Saturday and hopes Stephens can provide him with information, such as ' ... for instance, how many men we had at the end, what arms, what was our prospect of men money ...' etc.
