Description: Correspondence regarding the standing committee about the Irish College in Paris, former members of the police force, O’Donnell informing Redmond that a member of the Irish Parliamentary Party was going to take a government appointment, the university question, a public letter from O’Donnell to the Secretaries of the United Irish League Convention, and John McKay on being the candidate for South Armagh. Also contains a copy of ‘Rome’, Vol. X, no. 25 (Dec. 11) and some newspaper cuttings regarding a papal decree concerning immunity for clergy before tribunals of lay judges.
