Description: McGrath relates that his son lost an eye and the partial use of one arm, the son is in receipt of a weekly allowance, but is unable to continue his past occupation, a barber, as a result of his injuries. McGrath is requesting assistance for his son to start a "general supply business-chandlery, etc,". Notes about the case are made in a number of hands around the letter. Address of sender is "Up Northbrook Ave., / North Strand,". Letter is dated 10 August 1917.
