Mary Sheehy Kettle (1884-1976) was sister of Hannah Sheehy Skeffington (1877-1946) and the widow of Tom Kettle (1880-1916) who she married in 1909. Following his death she became his literary executor. She served as chair of the Joint Committee of Women’s Societies and Social Workers [established in 1935] from 1936 until 1961.
