Description: Letter from Lila Colbert, 1 March 1917, is written on behalf of her brother. She outlines that her brother is in debt and that he has had difficulty securing work "on account of his relationship to my dear brother (Con Colbert) who was executed. He said the people connected with the Turf were too 'loyal' to have anything to do with him." Lily also mentions that other members of the family have lost positions as a result of Con Colbert's participation in the Easter Rising. Allen recommends in his letter to O'Doherty that Lila Colbert's letter "seems to deserve sympathetic consideration.".
