Summary:Letter accounts how Mr. Hodgett, Postmaster of Navan discovered that an employee of the Post Office the daughter of the "H.C. Queenan" had "cashed some cheques for members of the Police force", which had been "stolen on some of their looting expeditions". After objecting to this Mr. Hodgett was according to the letter brought "past the R.I.C. Barrack and on the Boyne Bridge" was shot and his body was thrown in the river.
