1938 programme [front cover featuring interlace design work with the initials of the artist "JFM" underneath] commemorating the 1916 Easter Rising through the performance of a play called 'The Stranger' by Seamus O'Kelly (set "Immediately after the Insurrection of 1798" in "The Kitchen of Peter William's Cottage in Wicklow"); in addition to the performance of "Irish dance music" and songs performaed by Gerard Crofts including "Armed For The Battle" written by Constance Markievicz, arranged by Crofts. Miscellaneous advertisements present throughout programme including one for the monthly magazine "Saoirse, Irish Freedom" and "An Phoblacht" and an advertisement for Kingstons, Ltd., O'Connell Street, Dublin, owned by the late Cathal Brugha's wife, Kathleen or Caitlín Brugha [neé Kingston]. Featuring a list of those executed and killed in action during the 1916 Easter Rising and featuring quotations of famous Irish patriots.
