O'Curran states that he went to the Royal College of Science for Ireland to pick up flags for the signalling class, but the college was locked. He asks Coffey to contact the other signallers to inform them that classes have moved to Belvidere Park. He also says he will wait for Colonel Phillips return before taking on a signalling class.
