Description: O'Reilly writes that "the contemplative life does not tend to a recognizable intellectuality" in relation to the diary kept by the Irish nuns who have escaped Ypres. She has visited them at Oulton Abbey. She also writes that the Pope is playing the "great game cleverly" and might return the papacy to political power yet.
