Summary: | Casement describes his plans for the welcome party for the steamer 'Rhastia' at Cobh, which will involve a large party going out on a tug boat with a band and Irish and German flags. He also describes the procession to a college for the presentation of the portrait of O'Sullivan Beare by Francis Joseph Bigger. This will involve the portrait being hauled "on a trolley, lit by torches and guarded by two pike men in kilts thro the streets of Cork - surrounded by a howling mob!".
