Description: Corkery acknowledges receipt of a magazine sent to him by Downey and his having read Downey’s piece in it. He goes onto provide Downey with advice on writing: ‘Deal with the places you know. I find I can’t write anything well if I have not quite settled on the scenery’. His letter is dated 19 January 1921.
