Description: Included are letters to Edmund Downey from Grace V. Christmas, concerning the Christmas family, and their marriages with members of the Osborne family of Co. Tipperary and from the offices of solicitors H. & W. Stanley of Dublin, concerning the Christmas estate (1920).

Also included are letters concerning the Christmas family of Waterford, compiled by Downey and dating from 1849 - 1877. Included are letters to Octavia Christmas (née Whinyates) of Cheltenham and Whitfield Court, Waterford from various family correspondents, a letter from Archdeacon Bell to the politician William Christmas, written in response to his request for support in a forthcoming election, from the caretaker at Whitfield regarding upkeep on the property, from the firm of Ticehurst & Sons regarding the Christmas family's finances, and letters from W[illiam] Christmas, in which he refers to a visit by the Lord Lieutenant to Whitfield Court (recipient unclear). With some attached envelopes.
