Summary:Journal entries for De Lacy's tour in continental Europe date from 26 September 1814 to 24 May 1815 and provide an account of [his] travels in France, Italy and Germany. The writer's records impressions and observations throughout the journey, and provides charts which log the distances travelled, time spent travelling and notes on accomodation. Also included is a brief description of the return journey to Ireland, via England, in June, followed by more detailed accounts of [his] return to the continent and subsequent travels in Switzerland and Italy later in 1815. Between the two tours De Lacy refers to repeated visits to [Lissard] and meetings with clergymen.


The notebook also contains an undated recipe for pastry, written in a second hand.
