Summary:Kavanagh, in her letter to Duggan, berates him for the tone and news in his last letter to her which she found distressing and his negative comments on her choice of Gaelic League branch to join. She also writes of her work and salary, her social engagements and she assures him she never forgets him.


Her letter also includes with contributions from Duggan's sister Cissie, who writes of a legal dispute regarding a will and her recent poor health, and from P. C. Morkan who addresses his friend as 'My dear Mat'. Morkan writes for the most part of their mutual friends and reminisces about days gone by.
