Lehane left the Cork Branch of the Irish Socialist Republican Party and joined the Finsbury Park Branch of the Social Democratic Federation in 1902 following tensions with the Catholic Church.
Headed paper and address were also transcribed "The London Road-Car Company, Limited. / 8, Grosvenor Road, Westminster, / London", and "15 St. Thomas Road / Finsbury Park, N.".
