Description: The newspapers represented are 'Vanity Fair', 'The Tatler', 'The African World', 'The Observer', 'Country Life', 'The Graphic', 'Irish Life', 'The Sketch', 'The Sphere' and 'The 'Illustrated London News'. The latter, a photocopy, includes reproductions of the 39 pictures in the National Gallery, London. Other pieces concern concern Lutyens' design of Lane's London garden ('Country Life'), a cartoon by Grace Gifford about Lane's offer to Dublin Corporation of paintings ('Irish Life'), and the exhibition at the Royal Hibernian Academy of the painting 'Homage to Hugh Lane' by John Keating ('The Sphere').
