Summary:Papers compiled by Muriel Gahan, relating to the work of Forás Éireann from its foundation. Included are the signatures of those in attendance at the inaugural meeting of Forás Éireann on 11 June 1942 (Gahan being in attendance as a representative of the I.C.A.), a printed Constitution and Memorandum of Forás Éireann, dated November 1958 and containing information on its role and funding, and a typescript document titled 'Quietly Does It' concerning Forás Éireann's receipt of funding from the Carnegie Trust. Also included is some related documentation produced by the Carnegie Trust.


Also included is a copy letter sent by Gahan to a member of Forás Éireann, concerning the work of An Grianan and seeking advice from Forás Éireann on the design of the An Grianan's assembly hall. The recipient is unclear. [n.d.]
