Description: Contains correspondence between Muriel Gahan of the I.H.S. from James McDwyer of the Kerry County Vocational Committee concerning the Society's provision of training in handweaving to the Kerry Weavers (Na Fígheadóirí Ciarraidhe) and the difficulties faced by both their instructor Miranda Scally and the weavers, (14 Jan. 1952 - 27 Mar 1953), an incomplete letter from the Arts Council to the I.H.S. concerning their providing a grant for an exhibition of the work by the Kerry Weavers, and an exhibition invitation and I.H.S. notice regarding the event.
