Fowler writes of the additional copy he has sent to O'Brien "I also send an additional copy, which I ask you to be good enough to accept as a tribute to your prolonged, able, and consistent work for the common people of Ireland. Yours has been a life of accomplishment, and that brings its own reward.".
Letter also includes the annotated date 1939 March 23. Letter is typed on "St. Giles Book Shop, / 20, St. Giles High Street, / London, W.C.2." headed paper.
