Summary:Contains the minutes of the inaugural meeting of Country Workers Ltd held in Dublin on 11 December 1930, attended by, amongst others, Muriel Gahan. The volume also contains minutes of subsequent Annual General Meetings, Extraordinary General Meetings and Director's meetings up to 14 November 1941, and records the Country Workers' finances, their dealings with United Irishwomen branches and the Irish Homespun Society, their regular contribution to craft exhibitions, marketing initiatives, developments within The Country Shop and its restaurant and opposition among the CWL executive to shop staff becoming unionised (23/1/1933 and 19/1/1939). Reference is also made to Gahan being ordered by Doctors to take a prolonged break abroad and her travelling to Africa (9 Mar 1938).
