O'Donnell includes that P[atrick] O'Brien is the father of the late Commandant P[atrick] O'Brien, who was fatally wounded in Wexford, and also the father of Captain Denis O'Brien, who is in Mountjoy Prison with O'Donnell.
Letter is headed with "Mountjoy Prison" and signed off as "I.R.A. Executive". Envelope is addressed "Ald. W. O'Brien, / I.T.& G.W.U. Office / 36 Parnell Sq. / City". For typescript copy of letter see MS 13,961/1/86.
