Summary:Berry writes that he went through the 1895 files of the 'Edinburgh Evening News' but could find no mention of an election manifesto by Connolly: "I don't think such a thing was ever issued". Berry refers to "sheet 5", which may be item MS 13,942/4/1. He also writes that he "was much interested myself in Connolly at that time", sending reports of the latter's activities to the 'Scotsman', 'Evening Dispatch' and 'Edinburgh Evening News'. Berry also asks for a copy of Nora Connolly's 'Portrait of a rebel father'.
