Details are given of meetings addressed by Connolly, or at which Connolly's candidacy was discussed. Connolly is described as working for the "clearning and lighting department of the city" and a candidate for the Independent Labour Party although a manuscript annotation says that he was run by the Scottish Socialist Federation. Connolly polled 263 votes.
The pieces appeared on the 26th and 30th of October, and the 1st, 6th and 7th of November
