Relates the activities of Douglas Hyde on his tour, mentions "Devlin", T. M. Daily and John McGuinn in relation to the raising of funds for the language revival, John Mitchel Page, the undermining behaviour of "Ryan" and his propaganda against Clan-na-Gael, William Crossin, John Devoy and the 'Gaelic American', Eugene Geary, the Dungannon Club paper, the Sinn Féin Convention, and the publication of the student manifesto.
Letter addressed from "Philadelphia". Enclosed material no longer extant. Contains a paragraph in cypher which reads "writep me no news except in sipher [sic]".
